Author: Peter Emerson

Turkey is used in many delicacies. It is associated with Thanksgiving, but also consumed on other occasions. Turkey is generally preferred because it is high in protein and low on fat, as compared to other dark meat. Some common breeds of turkey are: Narragansett, Bronze, White Holland, and Bourbon Red.

Turkey can be roasted, smoked, deep fried, grilled or microwaved. Turkey can be used for appetizers, soaps, salads, sandwiches, entrees, etc. The most popular turkey dishes are: sandwich, stew or soup, salad, casserole and stir-fry.

Turkey Burgers are very popular. They are also easy to make and are very delicious. The main ingredients in a Turkey Burger are: ground turkey, seasoned bread crumbs, finely diced onion, lightly beaten egg whites, peeled and minced garlic, salt, and ground black pepper. All the ingredients are mixed together and made into patties. These patties are fried in oil and cooked like regular burgers. The ingredients also differ depending up on the kind of burger. They include wine, rice, cranberry sauce, cheese, mustard, pickles, tomato, readymade seasonings etc. They can be garnished with lettuce, tomato, cheese and other vegetables.

There are many different kinds of Turkey Burgers: turkey and cheddar burgers, turkey teriyaki burgers, Viking Turkey Burgers, garden fresh Turkey Burgers, grilled Turkey Burgers, Cajun Turkey Burgers, turkey cornmeal burgers, turkey cornmeal burgers with salsa, Turkey Burgers with spring vegetables, herbed Turkey Burgers, seasoned Turkey Burgers, apple glazed Turkey Burgers, peppers Turkey Burgers, three bean Turkey Burgers, low fat Turkey Burgers, Turkey Burger casserole, ground Turkey Burgers, turkey-vegetable burgers, giant Turkey Burgers and so on.

There are also prepared Turkey Burgers available. These contain all the stuffing and have to be just taken from the freezer and heated. There are several Turkey Burger recipes available over the Internet as well.
