Do you have a hard time throwing out junk? Do you like to see your stuff around you to feel safe? Do you feel that cleaning up your house and organizing it is to much for you mind and body to achieve, read on. Accumulating junk or family treasures or whatever you want to call them when taken to the extreme is mental illness/depression. But when you have a family member or a friend that you know is drowning in their own junk and there mind isnt always normal what do you do? You can always talk to your loved one until you can not discuss the subject anymore. It will only cause you stress and the problem will not be resolved. If your loved one doesnt understand they need help what can we do to help them? I have recently been placed in this situation. I didnt know what to do or where to turn to help a friend. Her family lived out of state and I didnt have the information to contact them. Finally the situation rectified itself on its own. My friend was placed in a hospital and received the care and treatment and is now on medication. Her family is involved and now her life is back on track. Try to find a way to stay in contact with your loved one when you know that they cant help themselves. Just drop by once in a while or a quick phone call three times a week to make sure they are all right and on track. Family and friendship is precious and needs a lot of love. Lets work to keep it together. Thank you for reading my article. Please feel free to read my other articles. Copyright 2006 Linda Meckler |
