Acquire Trophies by Hard Work and Practice

Author: James Hunt

Trophies are meant to be looked at. They come in all shapes and sizes. This quality of "lookability" is what prompts people to talk of trophy wives or husbands. But there are many ways to acquire trophies. Most of the time, they are given as a prize, a physical reminder of some triumph. How can one fill that trophy room at home? A few simple tips.

One of the best ways to earn trophies is to excel at something. Hard work and practice can net many trophies in a certain area. The musically inclined use talent and hours of practice to earn trophies at recitals and competition. Athletes hone their skills to win competitions in everything from basketball tournaments to bowling league championships. Amateur sports are a great way to acquire trophies.

Hunting is another trophy sport. While this sport does require practice and skill, acquiring trophies is not dependent upon how one does against direct competition. It only requires that, after you obtain the necessary permits, you successfully shoot and kill an animal. In order to have displayable animal trophies, however, one must be careful not to ruin the animal by using too many bullets or by shooting the animal in the wrong place.

Another way to acquire trophies involves not so much skill as ingenuity. By locating quirky contests, one can earn trophies by doing stunts, or by having a little known and sometimes 'gross' skill. This also applies to those who are mediocre at obscure things. By entering a competition that may not be well-known or popular, one can be mediocre and still take home a third or fourth place trophy.

Many people like to have trophies as a way to be physically reminded of accomplishments, and show to their friends. Some people just enjoy the thrill of the chase. No matter why one does it, it can be easy and fun to fill up one's trophy room.
