The entry level Nokia will be available in Europe, Middle East (not China) and Africa in the third quarter of this year and the estimated retail price, before subsidies or taxes, is expected to be 45 euros.

The 1112 was announced together with the Nokia 2610 and the Nokia 2310 at Nokia Experience Mobility 2006 event in Chongqing, China. According to Nokia the hallmarks of the trio is Performance, quality and ease of use!

The Nokia 1112 is an addition to the popular Nokia 1100 family phones that has sold over 100 million units globally, since its introduction.

The Nokia 1112 is Nokia's cheapest entry level phone and according to Nokia the hallmarks of the phone is Performance, quality and ease of use! The Nokia 1112 has a UI (user interface) that makes use of graphical icons and large font sizes to make user navigation simple for first-time phone users. The phone display is a high contrast white backlit display.

The phone weights 80 grams and has a talk time of up to over 5 hours and a standby time of up to 15 days.

This is a perfect budget phone for people whot just want a phone to make calls with! No camera, radio or MP3 player.
