What Wants To Be Born From This

Author: Linda Salazar

We all know the saying, "There's two things that are guaranteed in life, taxes and death." As true as this is, there's also another truth. Life will absolutely bring us things we wish didn't happen to us in our daily lives. We're faced with obstacles, challenges, painful experiences throughout our lifetime and I believe without those experiences, we wouldn't grow. I believe each time we face something that may be out of our control or feel bigger than we can handle, we have an opportunity to become stronger.

A past coach of mine asked me the question, "What wants to be born from this," during a time in my life when things weren't exactly sailing along smoothly. That question actually stopped me dead in my tracks. I suddenly felt a shift that I hadn't felt before and at that moment I knew I had the chance to create something better for myself.

So, it is because of that personal transformation that I share this question with you.

Whenever there's a contrast in your life, ask yourself, out loud, What wants to be born from this? When you do this, a switch seems to get turned on allowing you to think beyond the pain, sadness, anger or fear. Even if it's a baby step, a shift can take place. It doesn't matter what the situation is, a problem with a relationship, job, children, health issue, there's always something greater waiting to show up for you.

The question opens you up to believing there are other possibilities available to you. Even if you don't come up with the answer right away, 'What wants to be born from this?' takes your attention away from the negative and moves you toward the positive.

Don't be surprised if you get a rush of excitement when you ask yourself this question.

The excitement comes from a place in you that intuitively knows there is always something better in the wings. Just because you don't know what that something better is, doesn't mean it's not hanging out there in the Universe just waiting for you to believe it's yours for the taking.

So the trick is to trust that your 'What wants to be born from this?' is on its way.

The key to finding your answer lies in your heart, not in your head. Without a heart, nothing can be born. Without a heart, there is no life. It's that simple and that profound.
