Scotland Golf Courses

Author: Seth Miller

Scotland is known as the home of golf, with over 540 courses in the entire country. These 540 courses are distributed among six regions, with almost every town hosting at least one golf course. In fact, it is considered strange for a Scottish town to not have a golf course. Whether you are looking to play golf on a world-famous course, or on the very golf course the game was created, Scotland will provide what you need.

The self-proclaimed home of golf is an ideal paradise for golfing buffs all over the world. Courses such as the Royal Dornoch Golf Club in Dornoch, Scotland has roots that go back to the beginnings of golf. This course has been rated as one of the world's top 20 courses in the world. This golf course is in a very remote part of Scotland, which is part of its appeal. The Dornoch golf course has its roots dating back to the 1600s, and has been restored to its historic roots.

One of the most famous golf courses in Scotland is the St. Andrews Old Course. This course is all natural, taking advantage of the natural landscape and scenery Scotland has to offer. This course has been in use by golfers since the early 1400s, and is perhaps the most historic course in the world.

St. Andrews has been the host of 25 open championships and many other major competitions. The degree of difficulty is quite high. In fact, some people say that your first time teeing off on this course is the most nerve-wrenching shot that you will ever hit. Each hole is both a pleasure and an unforgettable experience to play.

The hours you spend on the courses in Scotland will give you memories you will cherish for the rest of your life. The honor that comes with playing in the same golf course as some of the best players in the world, as well as playing in the place where the sport was invented, is an exciting experience for all who play this game.
